I’m still knee deep in decorators, dust and renovation, but we are getting close to actually finishing the dining room, and it’s really looking nice, so I feel a bit less stressed than I have been these last three weeks. Only the entranceway, downstairs and upstairs hallways, living room, downstairs bathroom, and three bathrooms upstairs and the kitchen, breakfast room and utility (thankfully the last three are just being painted) to finish off now...and that is just phase one. Oh boy.
Cooking has been a great stress reliever for me over this last little while, and I’m eager to see what you have been cooking up. My co-host, Chaya of My Sweet and Savory, has chosen two lovely featured recipes, and here are my choices from last week.

There’s a fabulous post on nicknames, and a wonderful recipe for Loaded Grits at Ms. enPlace. I’ve never had the opportunity to try grits before, but when I do, I hope they look like this!

And there’s a cooling and delicious no-cook summer dessert at Cook with Sara - Berrymisu. It uses ingredients you probably already have in your pantry and freezer so it’s easy to whip up, and you can make it the day before you need it. Perfect!
What will you share with us this week? Whether it’s a light and healthy snack, an appetizer, delicious main dish, or a yummy cake, muffin or dessert treat, they are all welcome here at Let’s Do Brunch!
