In this post, Ann, the author of Not So Fast, Slow Down Solutions for Frenzied Families, investigates the idea of taking time with our food to notice the subtle differences in flavour and texture. Inspired by the book How to Think Like Leonardo daVinci by Michael J Gelb, she also explores being fully aware of the wonder of what we eat, and really paying attention not just to how something tastes, but also to the act of tasting. This thought-provoking post was a pleasure to read, and I’ve found it popping into my mind no many occasions since, encouraging me to take my time and really appreciate the all the sensory pleasures of the food I eat.

I encourage you to go and visit Ann’s lovely blog, where as well as sharing some wonderful posts, she also hosts a weekly Food on Fridays linky.
